Pet Selection

The critical learning period for dog is from  3-16 weeks. Since puppies should not leave their mother and litter mates until they are 8 weeks old it fall on the breeder or rescue group to begin puppy training and socialization. Once your puppy is home it is then up to you to continue to help your puppy learn.
