Agility Classes

Looking for more than the basic? Give your dog the metal simulation that they need! Owners do not have to be physically fit to participate and fearful dogs are encouraged to attend. Agility is a sport the use teamwork between dog and handler.  The dog/handler team negotiates obstacle courses made up of jumps, tunnels, weave polls, ramps and more.

Agility Basics ( 6 weeks $100 )

Agility basics  will teach you how to train your dog in the sport of  Agility.  This class will give your dog that mental stimulation that they need! All breeds of dog no matter the size are much better pets when they have something to do!  This class includes introduction to agility equipment, commands, and stays for the start line. This class is loads of fun and is a great bonding exercise for handler and owner. Fearful dogs benefit greatly from this class! Learn how to make your own equipment at home for cheap. * Prerequisites: None- K9 Manners 1 is recommended but not required.

K9 Focus ( 6 weeks $100)

Balance and proofing are the main goals in this class. Now that the dogs understand what they are suppose to do they will be challenged to preform under a variety of distractions. Focus on the handler is stressed in this class. Dogs will be tough how to deal with frustration with out throwing a fit when they don’t get what they want. Toys are introduced as rewards and motivators. Continue to build confidence and a working relationship. * Prerequisites: Agility Basics or K9 Manners  or institutor’s approval.

Obstacle Skills ( 6 weeks $100)

We will break down the performance requirements for each obstacle. The teater and weave polls will be introduced.  We teach the dogs to call, run, and send over obstacles. Some sequencing will be taught in this class.

Agility Continued ( 6 weeks $100)

Continue your agility training with more advanced handling and obstacles. The class will get more difficult each session. Check the Registration page for more information.
